A practice rooted in process and material honesty

Sway Ceramics is a London-based ceramic studio investigating the quiet tension between movement and stillness. Each piece is handcrafted in small batches — drawing from architecture, natural forms, and the rhythms of everyday ritual.

The work sits between functional design and sculptural art. Objects made for daily use that hold something of the hand that made them.

"The practice investigates the quiet tension between movement and stillness — objects formed in rhythm, held still by fire."

Each item is made with attention to tactile simplicity, sculptural balance, and natural variation. Sway Ceramics accepts commissions and collaborations, and periodically hosts workshops and open weekends to share the craft in a more intimate setting.
